Diane Rosenmiller

Mary Farrell is known for earthenware pots using the surface technique of slip trailing. Farrell uses local red clay and decorates with simple slip designs to express her interest in the historical pottery of North Carolina and replicate the wares of 17^th, 18^th, and early 19^th century pottery.

Farrell met her husband, sculptor David Farrell, in 1977, while working at Jugtown Pottery. They opened Westmoore Pottery that same year in Seagrove, North Carolina.
